Plans underfoot
for the new Auburndale Station

"It's a city with three commuter rail stations. But not everyone in Newton can easily board the trains that stop there.  For people with disabilities, the elderly, and parents with young children, climbing up and down the long flights of stairs at the Auburndale, West Newton, and Newtonville stations can be daunting at best, and often impossible. None of the three stations has an elevator or ramps. State Representastive Kay S. Khan, a Newton Democrat, is leading an effort..."

"We are also working closely with our state represenatives, particularly Representative Kay Khan, toward moving the Auburndale commuter rail station across the tracks to the Auburn Street side and making it fully accessible."
